Heather Barnett’s mutilated body was found in her own home in 2002 with strands of someone else’s hair in her hand.
Traces of DNA found at the scene matched Daniel Restivo who lived opposite. He admitted to having a hair fetish which led him to cut hair from strangers on buses. The scientist involved received a formal commendation for her work.
